Getting started

Set up MeetAndy for your team — activate your account, connect a Git host, optionally Slack and Jira, then create your first Space.

This section walks you through getting MeetAndy running for your team.

What you'll set up

MeetAndy needs one Git host connected — that's where Andy reads code and opens pull or merge requests. Slack is recommended so your team can talk to Andy in the channels they already use. Jira is optional, useful if your team tracks work in Jira tickets.

1. Activate your account

2. Connect a Git host — pick one

3. Connect Slack and Jira

Slack is recommended; Jira only if your team uses it.

4. Set up your first Space

Who needs to do what

  • The first activation is done by the company admin (the person MeetAndy invited). Once they're in, they can invite the rest of the team from inside the app.
  • Connecting GitHub, GitLab, Slack, and Jira are admin-only steps. Each integration is set up once for the whole company.
  • Creating and configuring a Space can be done by managers and admins. Each project on your team becomes one Space.

Before you start

You need:

  • A GitHub organization or a GitLab group/project with the repositories you want Andy to follow
  • A Slack workspace where you can install apps (recommended)
  • A Jira site, if your team uses Jira and you want Andy to read and update tickets (optional)
